Travel:
This position travels approximately 50% of the time to our other locations in Dover, Newark, and WilmingtonWhen asked to travel to a location other than your home base, you will be reimbursed for travel time plus mileage reimbursement, per policyCandidates must have a valid driver's license and car insurance.
JOB
Summary:
The HCA is administratively supervised by the Center Manager and clinically supervised by the Clinician(s), and is responsible for providing high quality medical support and clinical care with a focus on outstanding client satisfaction while maintaining/exceeding productivity standardsESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1All duties and responsibilities are performed in a professional and customer service oriented manner in compliance with PPDE's Manual of Medical Standards and Guidelines, PPDE policies and procedures, and State and Federal regulatory requirements.
2Participate in training sessions, including computer-assisted learning, as required.
3Welcome and assist clients through the visit process.
4Complete patient intake assessment interview, provide client-focused education/information, distribute and review of fact sheets, and informed consent process with accurate medical record documentation.
5Assist clinician and client with examination process, follow-up care and referrals6Perform duties of Procedure Room Assistant, conduct laboratory testing, scrub and sterilize instrumentsAssist in the abortion services as needed.
7Maintain and provide for the upkeep and care of exam room, clinical work areas equipment, supplies and log entries.
8Perform all front office duties:
Receive incoming calls, direct to appropriate staff or message systemUse practice management system, enter client information, service data and charges9Perform charge out duties as appropriate.
10Accurately record all lab tests and test results in appropriate lab logs and medical record as appropriate.
11Provide injections as necessary.
12Conduct all lab tests for patients including, but not limited to:
Pregnancy, STI, and HIV13Abide by the mission of PPDE.
14Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

2Medical Assistant graduate or AMA Certified Medical Assistant, or Bachelor's Degree in Social Service, Human Service or Science preferred, or equivalent experience preferred.
3Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
4Bilingual preferred.
5Minimum one year experience preferred.
6Familiarity with women's reproductive healthcare preferred.
