Clinical Support Tech/Unit Secretary

This postition perfoms a dual role of Clinical Support Technician _and_ Unit Secretary.
Under the specific direction of the Charge Nurse, the Clinical Support Technician performs a variety of functions that support patient care within the unit. The CST assists with general patient care, data collection, documentation, application of monitoring devices, communicates patient data to nurse, stocks necessary equipment and supplies in patient rooms. The employee will demonstrate knowledge in the current concepts of his/her field and is responsible for providing quality service to patients and families. The Unit Secretary performs a variety of clerical duties with a patient focused approach. The Unit Secretary will demonstrate knowledge and skills of his/her field performing at a level of competence that allows for independent work to be accomplished.
Requires High School Diploma or equivalent
Requires CPR certification
CNA license preferred
Prior acute care experience preferredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
